Just wanted to express a tear. After using wikispaces for a year and a half, it was blocked at my school. I then switched to PB Wiki and over the summer it was also blocked. Our filtering service claims to have unblocked the sites, but they still do not work properly. Enjoy your time, wikis are a great tool.
Enjoy your day,
Kyle

I looked at both, and ultimately went with Wikispaces because it was free for teachers, and the company has been very responsive to requests from teachers. I...
pbwiki is also free for educators. I have three free wikis on their site. I like the way you can set up classes/groups and have them do a collaborative ...
Hm. I though I remembered that some of the features with PBWiki weren't part of the free accounts for teachers. I could definitely be wrong about that...
Sounds neat, You guys are inspiring me to approach my district tech committee with ideas for blogging and wikis. We are using them with teachers, not students...
Sarah and folks, here's an example of PMWiki being used by a 5th grade teacher in my district. When I introduced her to it, I thought it would be too hard for...
That's really nice, Miguel. I liked the group activity set-up. I think, having seen that, for one of the projects, I am going to have my students use our...

Kyle, this is why solutions like PmWiki are so needed. As schools block web-based wikis--they do so because it provides students with a place to store files...
I wish I knew solutions to this... I was actually just told by one of our technology folks that I'm not allowed to do what I've been doing this year with my...
