I have a 10 year old Deskwriter 520 by Hewlett Packard that I could NEVER
part with! The cartridges are slightly more expensive than the Stylewriter
cartridges, but they last at least twice as long! I've never had a more
reliable
printer. It's also much quieter than the stylewriter and it prints faster.
Hey...I
love Apple's computers, but I think there's a reason they don't make printers
anymore (and that is because their printers were crappy). Even though it isn't
called "Deskjet" like HP's current line of inkjet printers, the Deskwriters are
inkjets. I think that all the printers in the Deskwriter line were compatible
with
Mac, but you should check HP's site to make sure than any specific models
you bid on are compatible. Their support site rocks...you can easily find any
drivers that you need. Currently I also use an HP printer for my iBook
also....as long as they don't start making crappy hardware like Compaq made
I will continue to buy their printers. I was so mad when I found out about the
merger (or takeover, or whatever it was. I hate big business). Now I'm on a
tangent...goodnight.
