Anyone out there?   Message List
Reply | Forward Message #185 of 218 |
Just curious if anyone out there besides me is human on this list
anymore? I figure many of you, like me, have been on the list since
the old days and stayed on the list even though there isn't much
activity, save the occasional spambot.

That said, I thought I'd ask, what with the "iPod Touch" and OSX and
everything else "current" out there, are any of you still using old
macs, and what are you using them for?

I have an SE30 a Quadra 900 (is that "classic" now?) and a Performa 600-
something, even an Apple ][c, but I admit they're just collecting dust
these days. I always thought I'd do something neat-but-almost-silly,
like network every room in the house together or do the fish tank thing
with the SE or something, but I've never gotten around to it. What
about you?

Oh, and a question: anyone know if anything has changed regarding old
games and such? Last I heard, many people wished they would be
released into the public domain, for us nostalgic types, but that Apple
and others held on to the rights for various reasons. Is this still
true?

Looks like it's just me :-) I think this is the first genuine message I've ever received from this group! I still regularly use a Performa 475 (maxed with a ...
