kauzuak1,,,, Well I cant see your name or location but I am Glad my
old post helped you get more excited about classic scopes and put
some of it into perspective. With more time and scopes under my belt
than I had when writing the post I would make the comment that among
the japan made 1960s refractors some of the best I have seen in the
60mm thur 76mm range are the Mayflower scopes they are nicely built
and the 3 I have worked on have had flawless optics. They seem to be
a good vaule for a first scope to look for a deal on one. I found a
76mm for $80 on craigs list and it has great optics and is one of my
favorite scopes to setup for a quiky!!!!! Clint Caveman Whitman
