CleanUp! 3.0 is under development. It should be available to beta
testers in the next few weeks, with a final release early in the New
Year. Is that the one you're talking about? :-)

BTW, new features included in version 3.0 include:

- the ability to specify custom directories and files to delete
- added support for newer versions of IE and Netscape
- support for Opera 3.x-5.x web browser
- more secure wiping of files with the Wipe Clean option
- includes searches for many more types of temporary files in many other
directories
- option to scan drives for temporary files
- improved handling of the Recycle Bin
- and more

Yes, I've had several users report that CleanUp! 2.0 works fine with
Windows XP. I'm not sure about Spider though since I don't use that.

Have restored Internet Options to default, but still no joy-anyway,why should
the Linux page on the same site be OK? Have sent them an "e",but no
response. Dave was a lot better in layout too, before changing hands. Thanks

Hello,

Try re-starting your computer. If that doesnt' work then re-install clean up. That is uninstall and restart your computer ans reinstall and restart your computer. That usually fixes most of my problems. Good luck.

Hi Bob,
I think this is the one you are looking for;
'End It All', which works very well to end all running applications exept
'explorer and systray'.
http://home.ptd.net/~don5408/toolbox/enditall/

Mike ~ It is a good day if I learned something new.

EndItAll v2.0 plainly available from the original source,
http://www.PCMag.com
Neil J. Rubenking, author.
Registration required to download.
I've used it since v1.0, good program, but never has 'ended them all'.
And there are many other good programs available, as always, for free
from PCMag, scope the whole list out.

I just checked this, and you're right. Sorry, but it's as a result of some
recent web updates that I made moving the CleanUp! home page from CompuServe's
OurWorld to http://cleanup.stevengould.org. I'll fix the problem this evening
(US Central time), and post to the group when it's done.

Sorry to anyone who has tried to download CleanUp! and run into these same
problems. And thanks to fdp2001ca for reporting it.

OK, I've updated the CleanUp! web site. You should now be able to
download CleanUp! 2.0 again. Sorry for any inconvenience this may have
caused.

For future reference, I have also uploaded the CleanUp! 2.0
self-extracting archive (CleanUp20.exe) to the home page for this
discussion group:

   http://groups.yahoo.com/group/cleanup/files/

Sincerely,

Steven Gould

fdp,

Where do you teach? Which students do you tell about CleanUp! ?

Soon you'll be able to tell them about version 3.0! :-)
