hi,

   how to interface dot matrix lcd display with the fpga.  i have idea about 7-segment display but not with dot matrix display.

   i am doing project with virtex-4 fx12 fpga evaluation board.  this board having 100Mhz internal clk.  lcd display having 2 line 16 character disply.


user manual not given any details.  i tried in google also but no use

pins for the display are

  output  data[7:0],
  output  en,  //lcd enable signal
  output  rs   // lcd register select.

  please send me the simple verilog/vhdl code (simple 2 bit counter program )  for testing the display .

 and also send me the material,links  about LCD interfacing with the FPGA.
