If you are using a Canon EOS camera, you cannot use infrared film. The
transport mechanism uses an infrared beam to count the holes when it moves
the film, and will fog the film.
If your lens blocks out all light except infrared light, then you must have
used regular film, which is not sensitive to the infrared light. You need
to buy infrared film...
