I've been using the same development environment for years now, and I
seriously need a faster way to produce, maintain and upgrade
applications as well as html web pages.

I fiddled around with dreamweaver for a while, but still hand coding
in colored text editors (HomeSite +, and emEditor). Briefly explored
Flex but not sure if that's the right move. Plus will need training
wheels to start.

My applications are ecommerce, calendar, directories, membership
sites, employment application sites and are all in CF7/8.

So, what do you use to produce, maintain and upgrade applications?
Dreamweaver? Flex?

How does one go about switching? Wouldn't it take days or weeks to set up?
