Got my copy of Color Modeling! Anyone still here??   Message List

Re: [colormodeling] Got my copy of Color Modeling! Anyone still here??

I think the problem may be that color modeling is a visual act, and it's challenging to convey the experience in a largely text-based medium.  A couple of us don't have easy access to the file area yahoo has for their groups (because we subscribe with email addresses, instead of yahoo accounts), so that makes it trickier as well.

Did we decide that yahoo groups don't support distribution of attachments (can someone acknowledge if they received my text file on this message)?  What about formatted emails (HTML, etc)?

Might I propose that enough people have access to SVG-capable applications that we might be able to post examples in that format?  Since a model is almost entirely made of lines and text, SVG should produce much smaller files than are possible with images.  They're also more conducive to a back-and-forth exchange of ideas, because I can modify your model and show it to you, without pulling with you the full burden of a round-trip modeling tool.

There's not been any activity here for some time. Anyone still out
there?
