welcome to the fray, douglas... as you can see, things are cozy
for now; ideally, this site serves as a forum for bouncing around
ideas for repurposing older tech (with your interests in web
servers and whatnot, i thought you'd appreciate the work ethic of
older, still viable machines).
as things sit now, we're pretty much in the "lore" stage: trading
tales about our machines and what we've used them for (frank's
old ibm thinkpad, ed's toshiba t1100+, my newton messagepad
2100). yahoo groups sites are not without occasional
bugginess, which is why the message board went AWOL, but
there's a good deal of content here normally, so look around
(links, databases of software and books, a poll section, a few
pics).
anyway, i thought you guys might enjoy giving this page a quick
peek. i'm a member of a newton-related listserv, and this link
from the houston chronicle popped up in a posting--it's the
