yeah... we never really have had a real-world meeting, for a number of
reasons (i was in georgia for a year, i was busy finishing a
dissertation, my leprosy flared up AGAIN). so the group has been
virtual virtually its entire lifespan.

but perhaps we should consider some sort of meet-up in the future?
