The sky conditions at Dec 16.78UT from Siding Spring were fairly
poor, with some haze for a couple of degrees above the horizon. and
Orographic cloud passing above the haze and some streaks of cirrus,
but enough clear patches to say that nothing was visible in the hour
until sunrise using 10x50B. I'd expect pilots should be seeing from
southern latitudes when they have a cloud free sunrise.

Hi all, Tried again today with gaps in the clouds, nothing sighted. Just the usual thistle seeds, spider webs, even saw a plane casting a shadow forward of it...

Nothing from Western Australia either. We also have patchy high cloud but there should be enough breaks to pick anything visible through the middle of the day....
