Dear COMIS users,
I am a beginner user of energy and airflow simulation programs. I
studied theoretically how the different models works (in particular
TRNSYS and COMIS), as I am phD student since October. I finally
decided that it is the moment to pass to the practice.
Before to begin, I would like to receive from you some practical tips
about the following subjects:
1) Thermal and airflow zoning: practically, do they always coincide?
If not, is it possible to do different zoning in TRNSYS and COMIS and
link them? In other words, is it possible to have in COMIS a unique
zone, correspondent to a thermal zone, with an internal partition, or
it is necessary to create two connected airflow zones?
2) Linking TRNSYS and COMIS: I tried to create a coupled project. By
default, Simulation studio links the thermal and airflow model
connecting zone temperatures and airflow rates. Is it the only link
necessary? Is it necessary sometimes to change this connection?
3) Cd of opening: does it exist a database of Cd coefficients for
different openings? I read that Cd coefficient fall generally into the
range 0,6 – 1, but I did not found many precise values.
4) Opening area: can external openings be scheduled depending on
external temperature or wind? And how to do for internal opening?
I thank everyone who will have the kindness to answer, even partially,
to my basic questions.
Best regards,
