Space Access'07 info - March 22-24   Message List
Reply | Forward Message #1652 of 1728 |
FYI,

: To all of you who don't check the website, and are just now finding
: out that Space Access '07 is a month earlier this year, and that
: you need to make travel plans quickly, our heartfelt apologies.

: Space Access '07
: March 22-24, Phoenix Arizona
: Conference Information

: Space Access '07 is just over a month away - time to book your
: flights and rooms, NOW. Rooms in particular! Our "space access"
: room block will be released for rental to outsiders March 1st, our
: hotel is sold out outside of our block, and nearby hotels are full
: or filling up fast. We strongly recommend making your arrangements
: this week, or you may end up paying more for your flights, paying
: more for your rooms, and having to commute into the conference
: anyway. Phoenix is a big cold-states tourist draw in late March,
: and baseball Spring Training in particular is filling up the hotels
: and flights. 'Nuff said...

: SA'07 is at the Best Western Grace Inn, 10831 S 51st St in Phoenix
: Arizona, the same place as SA'06. We also have the same room rate
: as '06, despite our conference now being a month earlier in
: Phoenix's winter tourist "high season." Call the Grace Inn at
: 1 800 843-6010 for room reservations, and tell them you're
: attending "space access" for our $92.29 full American breakfast
: - included rate. (That's only $99 even after taxes.) The Grace
: Inn is ten miles from the Phoenix Airport in a pleasant suburban
: neighborhood, with shopping and dining a short walk away, free
: parking, and a free airport shuttle bus.

: Confirmed presenters so far:

: Stay tuned for more speakers as we confirm them - part of
: presenting the up-to-the-second latest in this industry involves
: doing things at the last minute. (That's our story and we're
: sticking to it.)

: Our overall schedule will be :
: - Thursday March 22nd, sessions 2 pm - 6 pm, 8:30 pm - 10 pm
: - Friday March 23rd, sessions 9 am - 6 pm, 8:30 pm - 10 pm
: - Saturday March 24th, sessions 9 am - 6 pm

: As usual, we won't be assembling a detailed schedule with specific
: speaker timeslots until a week or two before the conference, when
: we have as good a handle on speaker travel schedules as we're going
: to get. This lets us put together the intensive schedule that
: makes Space Access what it is with some assurance it will actually
: (mostly) happen that way. (We apologize for any inconvenience
: involved.)

: Our world famous Space Access Hospitality Suite will once again be
: open till late all nights - in a larger space, and on the ground
: floor this year. Oh, and written into our contract this time: No
: karaoke in the hotel bar while we're there!

: We will also have more overall conference hall space - we will be
: setting up so as to have limited exhibit/table space in the main
: entry foyer to the conference sessions hall. Contact us by email
: to: space.access@... with "SA07 EXHIBITS" in the title
: if your organization is interested.

: Space Access '07 registration once again holds steady at $100 in
: advance ($10 off for anyone who's ever been a paid SAS member),
: $30 Student rate (no member discount on the student rate.) At the
: door rate will once again be $120. Day rates will be available at
: the door only.

: Mail advance registrations with your check made out to Space Access
: (we'll only be set up to take credit cards at the door) to:

: Space Access '07
: 5555 N 7th St #134-348
: Phoenix AZ 85014

: Print, fill out, and send along a copy of this form so we'll have
: all the info we need to keep you informed as we round up speakers
: and organize the schedule, and to have your badge ready when you
: arrive.
