***** AOL Modem problem with ARMADA 1700   Message List

I am trying to run AOL 9.0 Dial-UP
on my COMPAQ ARMADA 1700 laptop.
When I use my PCMCIA Modem card
AOL 9.0 works great!!!
However I cannot connect to AOL 9.0 Dial-up
when try I to use the COMPAQ 56VL Global
internal modem.
I am running Windows XP pro
on my COMPAQ ARMADA 1700 laptop
with 160MB ram, 233MHz Pentium II
and 4GB drive.

Does anyone have any suggestions
to make the COMPAQ internal modem
work with AOL?
