Hello! I am currently running a web based airline reservations program
on my PC to work from home that is linked to my main office. I have
been asked to contract with another business for freelance work using
the same program linked to the new office. My question is this: Can I
run two copies of the same program simultaneously without a conflict??
Will I have trouble loading up the second copy?? I don't want to have
to un-install the first copy as I still need it.
Can you help??

or like the one with tons of different holiday making cards.I would
appreciate your help. Thank you so much in advance.
Hey guys, I have built a site that includes content from this group. I
plan to get Rob involved on this site as well. The site will focus on
keeping tech support information posted as far as people's questions
and answers. I will also be adding walkthroughs for common problems in
the future. I will be including links to helpful sites and great free
tools at some point. I am still in the beginning stages of
construction, but there is some content on the site right now. Go take
a look.

-Hi Kathy,
Chances are that if you are having these page faults, it's either from
lack of availible memory or that your page file is set too low in either
case the way to resolve the problem is to raise your virtual memory
level to at least the same or more than what your actual installed
memory is in your computer.
IE: if you have 1gb (1024mb)of ram installed then the page file should
at the very least equal that or more.
To do this, Click on Start, then go to Control panel, then when your
into control panel, click on system, then click on advanced then click
settings for the virtual memory, inside of that you will find a window
where you can type in your lowest amount of ram to be used, type in at
least 1024 or whatever the amount of ram that you have installed, then
click on SET then okay then reboot your computer for it to change!
that should clear up your problem!

without knowing what the game is there won;t be much we can do. You
need to run a virus scan and and antispyware scan to make sure you
aren't infected. You also may want to try running a scandisk on your
hard drive. You can do this by opening my computer, right clicking on
your c: drive and go to properties. In the box that pops up you should
see a tab at the top that says tools. Click on that and you will see at
the top an error checking section. tell it to check now and check both
check boxes that pop up. Tell it that you do want to schedule a scan on
next reboot. Now restart. You also want to defrag your machine. There's
not much else I can tell you other than that. If you can respond back
with what the game is and make sure you give us exact word for word
error messages you are getting and I will try to research the problem.
I keep getting this message every time I try to play an installed game.
access violation at address 00000000 read of address 00000000
Can anyone help me and how do I fix this problem? I have uninstalled

Hey guys. I may not be able to post tomorrow, so I wanted to go ahead
and wish everyone in the group a Happy Thanksgiving. Have a safe and
enjoyable holiday.
Ok, I know this isn't really your guys' field, but I'm desperate and I figure
its worth a shot. I just posted this on Yahoo Answers (but most of those guys
who answer are idiots) so I'm trying my luck here. Maybe one of your experienced
this, or maybe have some remote idea of what's wrong.
I'm having problems with connecting to the internet using the Wii. I have a
TrendNet wireless G router (i'm not sure of the model number, but it's
discontinued, but I do have the latest firmware) without any security. The Wii
is about 10-15 feet from the router with one wall in it's line of sight. I didnt
have any other wireless device around to test the signal strength, but right now
i'm on my laptop on a wireless network and i'm about 50 feet from the router
with maybe 3 walls in its line of sight and I have a stable connection, so i
dont think the distance is too long for the Wii. Also there are no cordless
phones in the house (no house phone period, only cell phones).
What would happen is that I setup the Wii to connect to the router and it would
connect and test the connection and it would be a successful connection. Then
I'd go to the Shop Channel to download games and I'd be buying Wii Points, and
I'd put in my Credit Card information, and then my city, state, ZIP, and county,
then I'd press Next (or was it OK?) and then it would give me some error (i
think it was 602543 or 601543) then bring me back to the Shop Channel main
screen. and then I'd do it again and it would always get to the same part and
get that error code.
I've tried...
changing the routers IP address to "192.168.2.1" (as oppose to the router's
default "192.168.0.1") (it said to do that in the manual), I restarted the
router multiple times and tried multiple channels, even disabling the router's
firewall, and I still get the same thing. Any ideas? They are appreciated
greatly. Thanks guys.
I guess you could classify this as a network problem, not a Wii problem, so some
of you might know the problem, thats why I thought I'd ask you guys. Also I
logged into the router and it "sees" the Wii and assigned it an IP address. I
dont know if that helped at all.

That power cycle is a valuable tool I'm telling you. Signals get
crossed and confuses. Just the same as a pc freezes up, most of the
time that reboot helps out a lot.
Just last night I was at my cousin's house playing Nintendo Wii, and suddenly
both of our controllers lost signal with his Wii and we couldn't re-sync them.
After about 15 minutes of trying different things, I referred to the
Troubleshooting part of the manual, and they suggested unplugging it, waiting 15
seconds, and plugging it back in and then try to sync the controllers. I didnt
really see what that had to do with syncing the controller with the console, but
i tried it anyways, and it worked.

I find that i have to do this with routers more than anything else.

unplug the power cord from the back of it and count to 15 and plug it

a power cycle is just what the doctor, or in this case the technician,
ordered. This works on more than just computer stuff. Satellite boxes,
tvs, vcrs, dvd players. All kinds of stuff. Even with cell phones you
can pull the battery and clear up glitches sometimes.

Yes, routers are notorious beasts for that. Power supplies can do it
too though. Some people swear their motherboard is bad because the pc
flashes the power light and goes back off. a lot of times you can
unplug it and wait a few minutes and plug it back up and bam its back
to work. The best way I can describe it is that it build a "nest" of
power right at the end of that plug and unplugging it dissipates it. It
works better if you unplug from the rear of the device rather than from
the wall as well. It can be rather particular.

thats to use your yahoo account with outlook, or another POP email program.
(it says you need to purchase yahoo mail plus, but i did it with just my free
yahoo mail account *shrugs* idk)
I would suggest this though:
http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/mail/original/settings/settings-10.html
This link shows you how to set Yahoo Mail as your default email program in
windows. so when you click on an email address link (mailto:) and it opens your
"default email program" it will open your default internet browser and go
straight to yahoo mail and automatically put the email address in the "To:"
section of a new email. In my opinion, its easier to configure.
(it says you need to install yahoo messenger, but i think (i'm not entirely
sure) that if you uninstall it, it will still work. If your gonna keep the
messenger program though, make sure you change the settings so it doesnt startup
when windows starts up so your computer won't be as slow when it starts up)

I just got to thinking you may need to pull the new cd rom back out and
see if the jumper settings on the back of it are correct. if you have
more than one cd rom or more than one device on the same cable one
needs to be set to master and the other to slvae. if you have a cable
made for cable select both items can be set to cable select or cs.
In some cases it definitely works out quite well, but I am still a firm
believer that if you push something harder than it is meant to go, it
sometimes is going to break sooner. Overclocking should only be done by
those who absolutely know what they are doing.
Man that is one beefy machine there. I don't have that much to invest.
I don't play a lot of games anymore though because I just can't find
the time. I have been trying to get into some modding though.
Recently I was forced to recover my windows xp. It restored back to
the way the pc was origanally, (the way it was right out of the box
after I purchased it). It doesnt though recognize that yahoo is my
default email and I have tried to open "mail" in the control panel but
Im not sure what else to do to get it recognized again. what do i do?

Go into your hardware wizard through the control panel and run a search
for newly installed hardware. Assuming you shutdown your computer and
Unplugged it when you installed the writer, it should of been recognized
by your system upon restarting it. If not then do the hardware search
and it will find your hardware for you then use your other cd-rom you
already have to install the software for the writer. make sure you
reboot after you're done. and you should be good to go!...Good Luck
