It's been wetter than normal here too.
Sounds like you desktop may have a problem. You shouldn't get "runaway" pop-ups
unless something is wrong. Make sure your antivirus is up to date and you might
want to run an anti-spyware program just to make sure nothing has infected the
machine.
The red x's are proably due to the slow connection. I have broadband and still
get them sometimes.
Enjoy the summer

just getting back on my feet after ankle surgery too. Wow, times flies. Actually
this has been our most weirdest spring and summer yet. The month of June was the
wettest and coldest we've had in I bet over 40 years. It's just now getting to
what I consider beach weather. We didn't even open our pool until a little over
a week ago, that's how ugly it's been. So you've not missed anything this year.

that's the best way to describe it is when I use my desktop which still has I.E.
7 on it. One time these blank pages started popping up and I couldn't close them
out fast enough. I have no clue why that happened. So far on my laptop I've not
had any problems with the I.E. 8 other than sometimes pictures won't load up, I
only get red x's. But then too, it could be either my dial-up or the pictures
really won't load up anyway.
