Actually it is a lack of 'logic-space'. I think the last core is at
97% usage of logic gates. There is still some fpga-memory free, but
that doesn't help without any logic resources available to use it.
Back-of-the-envelope calculations suggest that I would need about 20%
of the 1k100 to implement a SID lookalike. A little bit more if it
needs to sound more 'analog' like an original.
(As the SID is actually a digital/analog hybrid it is a not easy to
emulate it in a completely digital FPGA)
