Thanks but that's not installed, Office 2000 is, but it's not a new
installation. It is so weird that it won't allow me to select
CorelPP.exe. The closest I can get is AdobePhotoshop, but I prefer
CorelPhotoPaint for just quick edits and wish I didn't have to open that
program first to be able to use it.

Did you try Lee's directions? I believe it's different from what you have been
doing, and I think it will work for you. (It's still attached, down at the
bottom.) You would need to do the same for the GIF file type and TIF or any
others you use.

Sorry to hear that. Then maybe you will have to actually reinstall PhotoPaint.
I'm guessing, like others, that the file type association got changed on you
from something that was installed or updated, and installing PhotoPaint now
ought to reverse that back to the way you want it.

F-i-n-a-l-l-y figured this out... here's the fix in case anyone else has
the problem.
open Corel Photo Paint

Hi again,
Another CorelDraw problem I've noticed is the inability to move elements
by hand in Print Preview mode. This is only when the image is tiled, and
it only seems to be happening since the latest Windows updates. Has
anyone found a fix to this?
(CorelDraw 12, Windows XP here)
Jenny
Glad you found the solution! Thanks for letting us all know.

OK, here's another one that drives me crazy...Separation function cannot be
assigned a hot key. I use this all day long and would love to have the option
to assign a single hot key to apply this function but it doesn't work. I have
to use a symbol assigned for the separation tool.

In Corel 12, I have a custom property bar for "text" that I've created. I have
intended to have pop up seperately from the rest of my property bars. I've made
sure in TOOLS to: SAVE SETTINGS AS DEFAULT.
When I log out at night and log back in the next day, the saved setting does not
take place and goes back to an area that I don't want. Any ideas?
Thanks in advance.

Hello,
I have created a custom page, but for some reason I can not seem to set this
page as the default for when I select a new page.
Does anyone know if this is possible?
Thank you,

Open the file that you want to save as the default.
Select - Tools heading at the top of Corel Draw window
Select - Save as Default option under tools.

Hello,
I have a problem in that I want to create a bunch of files that have names where
I need the area on the sides to be cut out, but the tops need to be attached. I
can do this manually but it takes a very long time to process a single word and
I was wondering if there is a faster process?
As this description is probably somewhat confusing, I have uploaded a file to:

hi
I want to design one magazine in Persian language.
Is there any special version for supporting persian language?
I have already typed the matter in MSWord.
Is there any one who will help me?
Aisha
Two ways to do it:
Type your text.
Put your rectangle in the proper spot.
Click on your text. Hold down the shift key, and select the rectangle.
Click the trim icon on the interactive tool bar. Delete the original text.
OR
Type your text.
Put your rectangle in the proper spot.
Click on your text. Hold down the shift key, and select the rectangle.
Click the front minus back icon on the interactive tool bar.
I usually use the first method because I can never remember whether to use front
minus back or back minus front.

Hello,
This is sort of difficult to explain, I am trying to find the setting that
defines the increments for which you can move an object either via a pointing
device or arrows.
I am using CD12 and the distance between increments is somewhat large.
Thank you,

Thank you very much Jill!
That was exactly what I was looking for! I can now create in minutes what used
to take over well over an hour!

you want to change your nudge. this is from X3, because I don't have anything
older here. with nothing selected, hover over your property bar icons. one of
them should pop up a tool-tip that says Nudge Offset. change to the amount you
want.
OR
right click on the ruler and select ruler setup. you can change your nudge
there.

I strongly suggest that you make a hot key for this function. I use the nudge
key more then any other tool in Draw. Once you access the nudge tool as
indicated below you will be able to use your hot key to do the same thing. I
have the "N" key assigned to the nudge tool. I just hit the "N" key and the
nudge dialogue box pops up and I can change this increment to whatever amount I
need.
Tools - Options - Workspace - Customization - Commands - select binoculars
symbol and type nudge - this will locate the nudge tool for you - assign a key
to the nudge tool - click ok.

you can either choose 'text to a curve in the font menu that you draw or go to
the envelope tool.

Hi Matt,
I sure do, I will go look for them now.
Do you have anything you would like to trade?
I would love to find some snowmobile racing eps or corel files.
