Welcome to Cornfuel, the alternative energy discussion group. I'd like to believe we're a diverse group of independent thinkers, who don't accept the fact that energy (heat) can only be supplied by multi-national conglomerates.
As the new facilitator of Cornfuel, I would like to thank the Hurd's for the foresight to develop and promote heating with corn while sharing their corn burning experiences, the past 2 years.
If you are new to the group, some basic information can be found, on burning corn, in the Files section. Search the past messages for a quick answer or just ask! Members are fairly quick at responding to questions but sometimes, work just gets in the way!! The Links section may also provide contacts with vendors, dealers and mfg's sites.
The goal is to further the development of alternative energy, that includes all forms of residential, commercial, and farm heating with corn, wood pellets, solar, or something unknown at the moment. Consumers, farmers, manufacturers, dealers, and developers are encouraged to contribute. This forum is to promote the fuel corn industry, not just specific brands or products. However, the experienced cornstove dealers and the long time burners of corn are our #1 resources. If dealers and consumers want to do business with each other, great... but look up the links, private e-mail, or phone numbers to contact off line.
The best way to grow the industry is thru the best educated user/consumers and the best way to promote is by a satisfied users, via word of mouth.
Finally, I'd like to thank my company Midland Products Inc. for having the confidence to move ahead with our new alternative energy product line, and seeing the long view.
Stay warm!
Dale Rosendahl
