Dear friends,

I received a message from Jacob Duer of UNEP (United Nations
Environmnet Programme) asking to distribute this announcement as
widely as possible. Can you pls. put this on your listserves,
distribute through your networks, and apply yourselves!!

I really do think as many strong women (and men) worldwide should
apply to this important gender post in UNEP: showing UNEP and the UN
that we are with many capable people.

I will keep you posted on any developments in this respect.

As you know we are looking for a Senior Gender Advisor (P5) and the
deadline for application is 11 February 2007. If possible would you
be able to share the vacancy announcement with your WEDO network and
