I just wanted to say thanks to the recent Crusers presenters,
particularly Lori whose talk on mapping peaked my interest in RoR and maps.

I recently found out that my wife and I are expecting our first child in
April. One of my worries is finding the perfect baby name; not too
popular and not too unique. So, I built a Ruby on Rails mashup with
Google Maps to show popular baby names around the world. It's still in
beta, but feel free to check it out. If you find it helpful, please pass

Being a Java Swing developer by day, it's a revelation to code in Ruby
now. Thanks again Crusers for spotlighting such a great language to us
J-word developers here in Calgary. :)
