Sorry for the late notice, but we lost our venue, and I've been
scramblin around arranging a temporary, backup meeting site.
Our presentation topic this month will be Javascript, by Tim
Breitkreutz.
We may, or may not, have a Javascript book to give away as a door
prize. O'Reilly's hasn't come thru on my latest request yet, so I'll
have to see what Chapters has on hand.
The meeting is scheduled for the usual third Tuesday (Dec 16) at 5:30
pm, and will be at the offices of Labrador Technologies (my office,
and thanks to Labrador for stepping up to give us the venue):
Flamingo Block Building
Suite 350, 229 11 Avenue SE <------ SE !!
Buzz '05' at the door (locked 24 hrs), and we'll let you in. Don't
worry about forgetting that number, we'll post a sign at the door.
This is directly south of the Central Library/City Hall, so it's
pretty easy to find, and you can take the C-Train to City Hall/Olympic
Plaza, and then head south past City Hall to get there.
Our January meeting will probably be at the same place, and the topic
will be Mod_Rails a.k.a. Phusion Passenger, and I'll (Lori Olson)
probably be presenting (if I can't arm twist anyone else).
If anyone on the list would like to present, or lead a discussion, in
the following months (feb, march, etc), please let me know what you'd
like to talk about, and when you'd like to do it.
Regards, Lori
P.S. To those who showed up last month at ThoughtWorks, we apologise
for the misfire. The automated meeting notices have been disabled, so
you will only get a meeting notice if/when someone is actually
on-the=ball enough to organize it.
