For active directory you must do one part different. The 'domain for user logins' should be like this : ?@... I think that will then fix your issues. ...

You can run crush side by side with your existing server...so don't stop your prod server until you verify things are right. Is the issue that you want users...

Test this. Take the path being displayed for the homeDir that was read from LDAP, and paste it into the "Start, Run..." in Windows. Verify you can access that...
