I've just come back from Hungary with Joshua and have an ancestral mayan
crystal head in my guardianship as well as several contemporary, I have a deep
awakening connection with the maya since I received Rabinal and I would love to
be involved if you feel my energies would lend to your work. I would also
suggest a lady called Lydia Trauttenberg who is based in Guatemala and works
with the Maya and Kathleen Murray and if you need email addresses for any of
them I would be most happy to provide them for you.

As I envision it, the event would include lectures by noted archaeologist and
anthropologists (I have the contacts already), as well as your own crystal skull
specialists. Trips would be organized to Lubaatun, the ancient Maya site of the
discovery of the Mitchell-Hedges skull, Actun Tunichil Muknal, the Cave of the
Crystal Sepulcher, and El Pilar or Xunantunich. This will be an opportunity to
travel back in time and follow pathways used by the Maya to see their lost
worlds of Xabalba that have been hidden deep within the jungle for centuries.

The trip to Actun Tunichil Muknal is a bit physical, not overly so, but it
requires a 45 minute trek across streams along a remote jungle trail with
spectacular visions of the jungle, and may not be suited for everybody, but
dramatically worth while for those who are able to do it. I have made the trip
in my 70s, but would not recommend it for an elderly couch potato. The cave
contains burial Chambers with calcified remains of sacrificial victims,
ceremonial vessels and other cultural artifacts left by the Maya centuries ago.
It takes you back over 2,000 years in history as you witness first hand how the
ancient Mayas used these amazing caverns, the entrances to the underworld
(Xabalba) for their ceremonial activities.

For those who do not wish to be so physical, an alternative trip to the
intensely spiritual Maya ruins of El Pilar, or Xunantunich or Tikal will also be
fascinating.

Events that can be scheduled would include entertainment of Maya music and Maya
dance, presentation by Maya Shamans and Healers, etc. I would suggest that the
Festival be a 3 (or 4) day event and it should be scheduled for the Spring
Equinox, March 20-21-22, 2009 (Friday-Saturday-Sunday). This is

during the Dry Season of Central America when the total rainfall is usually only
about 4 inches from January through May, so the weather will cooperate
beautifully at that time of the year. Plus the world is in balance at equinox.
An empowering Equinox sunrise ceremony can be organized from the top of a Maya
temple.

I organize the five day Bi-Annual Clann Gathering for Clann Chaomhánach
(Kavanagh-Cavanaugh) in Ireland every two years with several hundred people
attending from as many as 13 countries, so I have the experience in organizing
such events. I have also organized two major history conferences in Ireland,
although I live in Belize. I am not a commercial event operator, just a person
who is interested in crystal skulls and their relationship to Maya history and
culture.

All of the accommodations, reservations and on site events for the Crystal Skull
Festival would be personally organized by me. Accommodations range from luxury
(US$150/day), quality (US$100-140), moderate (US$50-100), or even backpacker
budget (US$7-20/day).

I can assure you that the proposed Crystal Skull Festival would be a memorable

Greetings dear friends -- and extend family

(special messages for our crystal friends at
the crystal skull explorer list)

We just returned from Hungary after participating
in the Hungarian International Crystal Skull Festival
in Budapest over this weekend.

It is our intention to offer our usual report but this
will take time to put together but we wanted to
share a few things as the Festival is very fresh.

At the Dutch Festival in Holland last year (which
also occurred and started on October 13th) we
had about 200 people -- our friend Melinda
Szemerey, the main coordinator of the event,
told us that over 600 people attended and
they received over 1000 phone calls. We
were all surprised that there was such
an interest as not too much information
about the crystal skulls has been shared
in Hungary before. All of the speakers
present, had been in Holland and we
went with less speakers this time.

Melinda's team of volunteers, were exceptional,
and really provided a wonderful service to the
speakers and the people who attended.

We also had some special drummers (shamanic)
join us, about 15-20 people I would guess and
it really added a magic to the event. Several
people had visions of crystal skulls that could
be buried in Hungary (or hidden), and could
it be the festival helped to awaken or activate
them.

In any case, as a result of the Festival, the
next one to be held is already under way.
Two friends from Belgium (a mother and daughter)
and a good friend from Holland, should be shortly
confirming to organize one for Belgium next year.
Of course, as usual we will keep you updated
via this list and the crystall skull events website.

There was many magic moments, connection
of soul family and personal transformations
that occurred during the two day Festival.

What is coming up next is some more
reports we will send to the list -- and pictures
we will share via crystalskullevents.org

it really was unbelievable and when we
left at 5 AM this morning to catch our flight,
I felt very sad, as it was so wonderful and the
energy was so great, it just happened two fast.

Finally, the woman who was our translator
for our sessions and our workshop, we are
dialoguing with her about a special trip to
Greece for next year which will include
the energy for the crystal skulls and visiting
some of the special energy places - some of
the shamanic drummers want to go with.

WOW, it was pretty amazing -- so if all
goes well, we hope to do two or three
festivals for 2008, lets see what happens.
