Good question--probably-- but if the skulls are exposed to different slimuli,
then the new information will be downloaded.  Also if a skull is not and not
"activated" it doesn't have the knowledge yet.  Once activated, it doesn't need

I am familiar with activation of skulls -- it's a process that I use to
have my new skulls align their energies with my old skulls.  My old
skulls (not newly acquired) have been around other skulls (such as the
Mitchell Hedges skull - which is believed to be ancient) and other more
contemporary skulls who have  been around (sat with) other famous
skulls. It is believed that a "download" of knowledge is obtained from
one set of skulls to another when they sit with eachother.
 
Therefore I place my newly acquired skull in the middle of a circle of
my older acquired skull (all mine are contemporary as far as age
classification) ; this circle will be arranged according to the wishes
of the other skulls (use your intuition here).  And then I leave them
be for a time.  Again, my intuition kicks in (or they psychically tell
me) when the "download" is finished.  At that point, I can go my new
skull and pick it up again.  It will feel heavier in my hand (try this
on a frien
d who doesn't believe in this stuff --do it secretively like
I did--and you'll find it's true!). 
 
This is how I activate my skulls.  I clean them with smudging (with
sage), or place them in the sun.  (the moon is also used).  Careful
with some dissolving minerals if you put them under running water.
