This group emerged from two panel sessions presented at the Third Crossroads Conference, Birmingham University, June 2000 on CS as Education in Education.

This listserv is dedicated to discussing all matters to do with cultural studies and education.

Existing debate on cultural studies as educational practice has typically been either ethereal and decontextualised, neglecting practical issues of pedagogy in institutional contexts, or hidden behind the doors of individual educational institutions and thus invisible and scattered. In contrast, this listserv aims to open a forum for discussion of the often privatised practice of pedagogy and institutionalisation. It is open to both practitioners and theorists, who have often been divorced within the field.
