Okay, as we'll probably have to wait a while before Cyb will be able to fix the
packer so all CT tunes are packed without exeception, I present you with a
work-around so you can still submit the tunes that can't be packed by the packer
for Sidplay inclusion.
Here's what you do (it's really simple):
- Load up your .CT tune in Cyb's Exemaker.
- Save the tune in Exemaker
- Extract this new file (don't pack it first) to your hard drive
- Create a *.sid with EXACTLY the same name as the file (not including extension
of course!)
So if you extracted the tune as "tune.prg" create a text file which you save
as "tune.sid".
-Make sure the text in the *.sid file is something along these lines :
SIDPLAY INFOFILE
ADDRESS=0000,46DF,47a8
SONGS=1,1
SPEED=00000000
NAME=Go Go Go ! (New Sid)
AUTHOR=Michael Zuurman (Mr.Mouse/XeNTaX)
COPYRIGHT=2002 XeNTaX
Ofcourse make sure you fill in your own song title, name and stuff, but don't
change anything else.
Done!
Now play it in Sidplay2! (You can also convert the two files to a single sid
file from within Sidplay)
There's a problem however with the latest version of Sidplay, it doesn't play in
that one!
It works fine in previous versions though, so I assume Adam introduced a bug in
the latest version or some other catch. I have notified Adam of this problem.
Yet, it works! And never mind that Cyb says you have to wait for the packer, as
the EXEplayer would not be fast enough, it's fast enough on a PC, Cyb! ;)
Cheers all!
