cybertracker tuning and noisy c64   Message List

Hello!

i am using cybertracker as synth/loop/sidsound generator, its a GREAT
synth with a very good editor for sid sounds and tracker for creating
patterns.

i typically sample either the sounds, or patterns, for use as
loops/samples in Logic.

two questions:
-why is the output from my c64 "out of tune" from other gear? the
standard A from the c64 is not 440 Hz. i have to resample/pitchshift
the samples, and loose some quality in the process. it is also
impossible to "jam" on the 64 with my Logic mix. is this possible to
change somewhere? I have a european c64, the brown one.

-i am taking the audio from the audio plug from the monitor cable
(three rca plugs usually going into the commodore 1084 color monitor,
red white and yellow). as long as the two other cables are connected
to the monitor, there is a very bad interference noise. unplugging
the two monitor cables gives clean audio, but hard to know what to
press since I cant see anything :) is there a way to get audio
directly from the c64?

it is of course easy to circumvent while sampling since its just to
unplug monitor, but its irritating to work with while creating sounds
and having this "hirrrrrrr" in the background.
