RE: [ct64] Ok....so I see there wasn't been much talk on here!

Hi Amigatrash!

Lemme try to answer your questions

>1. Is a new version of ct planned?

not at the moment atleast. I have had some ideas (f.e. to get much more
pattern-memory, and make it possible to use a much more faster/compact (but
less flexible) player), but i don't really have the time at the moment.

>3. Is the player finished / released?

No :). I haven't made a new version of the packer since the first
ultra-beta version. The problem was that i was learning C while coding the
packer (or you could say: by coding the packer), and there was a weird bug i
just couldn't find. Again i don't have time right now, but it's not totally
impossible i'll give it a shot again.

>4. Will there be din / midi sync?

I remember some other guys have been talking about this before. Atleast not
before the packer has been released (if ever). And i don't really know
anything about midi or din..

>5. Digi channel??? (pleeeease)

Out of memory error!!! :)

>6. How do I stop that annoying ass popping in my tunes? It seems to
>go away when I play around with the volume envelope and fliters.

I'm not excatly sure which clicks you're talking about.. as far as i
remember (it's been a while) CyberTracker doesn't make more clicking sounds
than other editors does. But they can happen - the C64 sid chip doesn't do
any interpolation of the sound, so you sometimes have to be a bit careful.

>7. Does he need money to finish this project? If so how much can we
>send? (I'm sure this was a pretty stupid question....as much money
>as possible!)

YES!!!! ;)

>8. I now use windows xp....star commander doesn't seem to work with
>this....only windows 98......what can I use to transfer c64 files
>now?

I still use star commander on windows xp. You need to get the xp-tweak
package for it to work on xp - it doesn't seem to work for everyone , tho.
You can get it at http://sta.c64.org/scbeta.html. It may take some time
getting to work. I once wrote a post about how i did at CSDb
(www.c64scene.net).

>Hope someone gets this!

Got it!

I'm writing this, because Cybertracker is the best C64-music editor I've tried and I'm totally in love with it. But there's only one thing missing... ... ...
