Depends if your "controller" you talk about is an audio interface. If not, it'll still need to be routed through your sound card. ...

Yes Neil I have RME Fireface 800 and there is an Input for the guitar and all I want to know dose it  sounds the same or not....I dont care about controlles...

I have RME Fireface 800 and there is an Input for the guitar ... The Instrument input on your Fireface 800 has some features intended to enhance guitar sound....
