Description

This is the Marie Curie Elementary School Science Committee discussion group.

Please click the "Join this group" button to add yourself to our mailing list and to get meeting notifications.

Here're some of our ongoing projects that need your help:
• Shoe box science kits are after school science experiments in a box/bag that students can borrow from the library.
• Family science nights allow students and family to do hands-on science experiments. The Curie Auditorium is transformed into a science lab for us all to learn and have fun together.
• Astronomy nights are when sophisticated telescopes are set up for the students to explore the stars.
• Science bulletin boards are set up with different theme each month. See our display near the lunch arbor.
• Grant applications are based on the Curie’s needs. We have successfully obtained significant science and garden equipment for Curie in the past.
• FOSS (classroom science) kit assistance is offered to any teachers that request it; tasks range from assembling and cleaning FOSS materials to helping to teach the activity.
