Digital Society Foundation (DSFI), Karnataka Institute for Legislative
and Parliamentary Affairs (KILPAR) and KLE Society's Law College
(KLESLC), Bangalore are jointly organizing a One day seminar on
"Privacy and Data Protection in Cyber Space " On October 17, 2008 At
KLE Society's Law College auditorium, Rajaji Nagar, Bangalore

Following Dignitaries will participate during the inauguration and
valedictory sessions.

Chief Minister of Karnataka (Confirmation awaited), Mr Yeddiyurappa,
Home Minister of Karnataka, Mr V S Acharya, IT & BT Minister of
Karnataka, Mr Katta Subramanya, Law and Parliamentary Affairs Minister
of Karnataka, Mr Suresh Kumar.

Technical Sessions will be managed by experts from Law Colleges, IT
industry, Law Enforcement etc.

Confirmed speakers include Naavi (Founder Cyber Law College), Sanjay
Vir Singh, (Registrar, Bangalore University), Vijayakumar (National
Law School of India), J. Prasanna, (Cyber Security Expert), J.M.
Mallikarjun (Principal KLESLC), K. S. Sudheer (Advocate). Several
other eminent speakers from Police and IT industry are also expected
to confirm their participation.

The seminar will debate the draft bill on Data Protection Act pending
before the Parliament and collate suggestions for a balanced
legislation on Privacy and Data Protection.

Delegate fee is Rs 1000/-. For Students Delegation Fee is : Rs 500/-.
