Nancy White on Online Group Interaction
Nancy White, President of Full Circle Associates, is an internationally
recognised expert in
understanding and practicing online group facilitation of distributed work,
learning and
community groups - work which requires her to fluidly take on the roles of
presenter,
writer, teacher, coach, facilitator, and rapporteur. In research conducted by
Jenny
Ambrozek and Joe Cothrel, Nancy was listed as one of the "top influencers" in
the industry.
Nancy's blog is one of my regular reads and I'm delighted that she's agreed to
post a guest
entry on cybersoc.com

Dr. Matthew Allen on Internet Research
Matthew Allen is Director of the Internet Studies Program, Curtin University of
Technology,
where he has been teaching and researching the Internet since 1997. Most
recently, as
well as suffering the curse of working in an illfunded university system in
perpetual
government-induced crisis, he's been developing ideas about the meaning of
discourses
and practices of Internet regulation. One example of this material, on broadband
adoption
policy, will be published later this year in the International Handbook of
Virtual Learning
Environments. Matthew is currently President of the Association of Internet
Researchers.
