Hi there,

I've received some feedback about problems with live streaming. To
find out whether it's an issue with CyTV, or whether EyeTV just
doesn't pass data to the plugin sometimes, I'd like to collect some
data. If you tried live streaming with the alpha 6 (either successful
or not), it would be great if you could take the time and answer a few
questions:

1.) Which EyeTV model are you using?
2.) What's the CPU architecture of the server (Intel or PPC)?
3.) Does live streaming work with your setup?
4.) If it doesn't work, what does the plugin log look like
(~/Library/Logs/cytv_eyetv_plugin.log)?

When all is working well, the log should look something like this:

Mon Feb 18 22:08:00 2008

EyeTV started
Device info shared memory mapped
Device added
Device shared memory mapped
50000 packets received
50000 packets stored in shared memory

If the last two lines are missing, even when a live TV window has been
open for one or two minutes, then the plugin doesn't receive any data
from EyeTV. If these lines look different (or if only one of them
appears), there's a problem which needs some more investigation.
