Hey,
Their seems to be a permissions issue for some people with eyetv 3.1cytv plugin,
the plugin doesn't install properly. So you need to manually install it or login
under root user to install it. I included in a old post where I explained this
for another user. And links to two other posts that might help.

Same thing happened to me too. What I did was enabled the root user, logged in
under
root user and then it let me install it correctly.

However after looking at what it installs. You could probably just be able to
install it your
self manually. Here's what you do.
The slashes "/" represents folders

Right click on cytv.app go to contents/Resources/EyeTVPluginCYTV.bundle Then
copy it.

Now right click on Eyetv.app and go to contents/Plugins and paste
EyetvPluginCYTV.bundle into the Plugins folder. If there is no folder named
"Plugins" there
make one and then duplicate or paste EyeTVPluginCYTV.bundle in there.

This should do it for you. Otherwise google how to enable root user for OSX and
do the
way I did.
