Thanks to a number of the posts I found here, I've gotten the alpha to work -
sort of. I can view live streams from eyetv if I use the VLC app and connect to
the stream
http://IPADDRESS:8001/stream/live

But even after installing (twice) the browser plugin, I can't get the web GUI to
work in either Safari (4.x) nor Firefox (3.0.11) All I see is the black square,
a play icon underneath it and a play bar underneath it doesn't move. Nothing
else and I never actually see the video.

So I'm trying to figure out where I might be going wrong. Any suggestions? My
dilemma is I really want to be able to change channels as well and don't know of
another way to do this other than with the web GUI.
