just found this app. many thanks, have been playing around with other
solutions. and was even thinking about starting to write something
like this, although would neither have had the skills nor the time :)
so many thanks again.

one question though. i see you are using the h263. would like to use
the x264. think i found the place where to hack ie. line 2941 onwards
in cytv.py. already tried it and could not get it to work. i presume
the x264lib is not compiled with ffmpeg.

what would be the easiest way of doing this? ffmpeg needs to be
patched to work here, right? somehow dread compiling ffmpeg, it always
seems so messy.

other reasons why it might not work?

apreciate any advice.
