Forget about higher or lower for a moment and consider power itself.
What is it? It's arranging the molecules, beating your heart,
breathing your breath, and spinning the galaxies. We are its
terminals and therefore intimate with it, yet we don't know what it
is. We give it names like Shakti, Chi, Life-force, and even devil
when we don't like the results. But what is it?
Can we ever know what it is?
I say no!
It is a Mystery beyond comrehension that lives us and everything,
and as soon as we try to know it, we lose the sense of being
connected.
We are that Mystery and it is our action of wanting to know that
creates the sense of alienation, of separation, as if there were 2
instead of just 1. This thirst for some ultimate knowledge is our
disease, the problem we superimpose upon simply being, and it is
completely imaginary. So the search for some changeless ultimacy is
futile and false, born out of the desire to survive as this limited
sense of self forever, which, if we really considered it, we would
not want to do anyway.
Feel this Mystery right now.
Feel it down to your toes.
Feel it breathing you and let your breath be Its breath.
Surrender your sense of separate self and be this Mystery that you
already are.
