Somehow I never thought I would be writing this...I live in Juneau, Alaska in a
rain forest climate. We have had 2 weeks of high 70's and 80's temperatures with
no rain in the forecast. Needless to say there is nary a hose or sprinkler to be
found in the town stores. My question: I water the dahlias when the top of the
soil is damp (I grow mine in pots). All of them look fine EXCEPT one. The minute
the sun hits it the wilting starts. When it is in the shade it begins to perk
up. The leaves look fine color wise and there is no distortion at all in the
leaves save the wilting. I moved it this morning to a spot with a little less
direct sun. Any suggestions?
