After several complaints about recent SPAM from this site, I have
decided to change the setting for membership on the deadwood
discussion list.

New membership will now require the approval of a moderator. This
will result in a slight delay for individuals wishing to join the
list but will enable the moderator to screen out potential
originators of SPAM.

Postings will remain unmoderated.
