An analysis of sampling methods for CWD in Australia   Message List

Hi all,

A recent publication titled "An Analysis of Sampling Methods for
Coarse Woody Debris in Australian Forest Ecosystems" is now available.

The work involved measuring aboveground CWD (forest floor CWD, snags
and stumps) on one-hectare plots, in key Eucalyptus-dominated forest
types in Australia (woodland in Queensland, open forest in New South
Wales, and tall open forest in Tasmania). This plot data was used to
compare the accuracy of alternative CWD sampling methods,
particularly variables of the line intersect method, by computer
simulation.

The report is available in pdf or Word format at
http://www.affa.gov.au/content/output.cfm?ObjectID=E3B0266A-1CA2-45E9-
9D38B5DCEB792136 (apologies for the horrendous URL)
or contact me for hard copies.
