Are you coming to the Deephypha meeting at Knoxville in March?   Message List

Dear Deephypha student discussion group,

This is Ning Zhang. Sorry that I haven't been writing much to this group mail
page lately. With the deephypha meeting approaching, I want to update my
information before we see each other at Knoxville.

I finished my Ph.D. work on molecular phylogeny of the Diaporthales,
Melanospora and population genetics of the dogwood anthracnose fungus at
Louisiana State Univ with Meredith in 2002. Now I am at Penn State
University working as a postdoc with David Geiser on molecular phylogeny
and species concepts of Fusarium solani species complex. The methods we
used include sequencing of TEF, ITS, Large subunit rDNA, and ERG genes,
and mating tests (crossings on petri plates). When I analyze the sequence
data, I have noticed the incompatibility among different genes. I wish we can
discuss about it during the meeting or on the group mail page sometime.

Thanks for you time and hope see you soon.

Ning Zhang
