Hi everybody,
I know that these problems are really frustrating, and we've made some
progress in solving them. We don't have an add-on update available yet,
but we made a change on our end so that deleting your delicious.rdf file
(and letting Delicious do a full re-sync) should stop Firefox from
freezing up.
Here are detailed instructions for people who might not want to muck
around in their Firefox profile folder:
1. Enable Normal Mode, if it isn't already enabled.
2. Sign out of Delicious, either from the Delicious menu or on the site.
3. When you get the dialog box asking if you want to "Leave copies of
your Delicious bookmarks in Firefox" or "Remove all copies", choose
"Remove all copies".
4. Sign into Delicious again.
5. Let the add-on do a full sync.
This may help with the "0" bookmarks problem too; let us know if you
notice changes in that issue.
Favorite tags may still be missing or uneditable; that's a separate
problem and we're working on a different fix for it. In the meantime,
Live Bookmarks can work sort of like Favorite Tags do. A lot of you
probably already know how to do this, but here are some instructions:
1. Visit one of your tags, and click the "RSS feed" link at the bottom.
2. The resulting page displays your 15 latest bookmarks with that tag.
To display more, add ?count=30 (or whatever number you like) to the
address bar
3. This page has an area at the top for adding the feed to your Live
Bookmarks. Click "Subscribe Now", rename the title if you like, select
Bookmarks Toolbar from the little drop-down, and click Add.
4. Now you have a button in the Firefox Bookmarks Toolbar for that tag,
and clicking it allows you to select a recent bookmark in that tag.
Thanks for your continued patience; we'll post again when we have more
news.
