The competition from the 'Public Option' is imperative. Congress may dictate operational conditions to the insurance companies and this will tend to reduce their profits. However there is no control on raising premiums. This they will do so extensively aided by the economic push due to the demand of 40+ million new contracts. Adding to the public’s agony, they will increase the deductible and increase the co-pay! The profits of the insurance companies will multiply, giving more power and influence to the very companies who are the cause of our aggravating health care problem.
Either we pay taxes for the program or pay insurance companies premiums. Elect to pay no taxes, fine. The premiums will be far, far higher than the taxes!
We need a dozen clips like this, for a Town Hall meeting montage DVD.
Please, watch this two minute one and help me find more like it. As crude and rude as it may appear, this Marine had something to say. You see, some folks have just about had it with Big Brother.
Ok, they are out to give us a very scary wake-up call. If you really never believed this crap would ever start happening, here is The Line In The Sand. Don't watch this later. Seriously, some things you need to know right now. Ya falla?
This is it folks. Troops in the streets hearding the sheeple to an injected pandemic. Weapons sweeps in your county might make you wish you would have woken up your county activists, the sheriff, the county judge and the county attorney. It may not be too late.
The Oath Keepers montage DVD, I just told you about would be a great way to meet the Sheriff. Remember, he works for you. He was elected into office by those in your county that vote and care about whose the sheriff is. Few do. Any sheriff would love to have a citizen support group on Constitutionists. He needs the backup.
Today, I read about a survey showing 75% of those polled would support an audit of the Federal Reserve. The big boys don't need that right now. Remember, these guys can collapse the economy overnight. They do not want an audit. A staged pandemic would be just the scare that would distract that 75%, right now. hmmmmm Yes, Martha, they do control everything, kinda.
How many apathetic responses do you suppose folks like Paul Revere came across? What else do you need to see, read or, hear?
Expect, huge fear mongering campaigns with terror in the streets. Some say, let her rip and let's get it over with. The wake up generation's revolution is about to pop. Don't you think it is time to seriously wake up your next door neighbors, friends and folks at work? Time is short.
Please, never assume this one man operation is getting rich.
I am lucky to have this minimun wage job.
I used to make good money, though.

We have a wonderful system. We, the people have the power to throw out the politicians who do not support the will of the people. I have yet to see it work. An impending issue: the healthcare reform (reform?) likely to pass will not be what the large majority of the people want. The insurance companies, the cause of our problem, will continue to flourish by continuing to gouge the public. You can threaten 2010 and 2012, but when that time comes we will be divided on multiple issues and most politicians will be reelected as we have seen in the past.
The politicians have been well paid by the insurance companies. The politicians need this money to advertise and convince your fellow constituents to vote for them. They in turn enrich their donors to keep the money flowing. Of course this money comes out of your and my pockets. Will your tiny little vote amount to much? THE INSURANCE COMPANIES WILL REELECT THE INCUMBENTS.
If I was a politician I would be counting the donated money and planning the advertising campaign, and creating a powerful message that would skew my opponent and of course I would take care of my benefactors. But if I got inundated with letters, e-mails, telephone calls with some message like the following, it would give me grave concern.
“I, your constituent, consider healthcare as my main issue of concern. In cooperation with your other constituents we have agreed to make it the only issue. I want a single payer system but I would accept the availability of President Obama’s public option plan. Let me remind you, I voted for you and if you help provide a good healthcare program I will eagerly continue to do so. IF YOU FAIL ME, NOT ONLY WILL I NOT VOTE FOR YOU BUT WILL ALSO CAMPAIGN AGAINST YOU, IN THE PRIMARY AND IF YOU ARE NOMINATED IN THE FINAL. I HAVE NO QUALMS OF CROSSING PARTY LINES.”
May be I am dreaming but any way I am sending this thought to the many groups I belong to. The multitude of my total contacts will support and act on this concept. They will copy this material and transmit it through their extensive lists. Hopefully it will also reach some programmers, who will set it up for convenient transmittal to respective congresspersons.
If Congress passes a bill and throws us a bone, such as removing the donut hole for seniors, but maintains the prosperity of the insurance companies, the large dividends for their stock-holders and the massive pay and bonuses for their executives, they will establish a congressional rule: the real rulers are the large corporations (all industries). In the future they will raise prices for various goods and services. There will be further diminishing of regulations and oversight. Expect poorer quality and inferior service. Competition, which was the engine of our prosperity, has been dulled and will deteriorate further. One glaring example: in spite of antitrust laws, the oil industry alone, mergers were freely allowed between Exxon and Mobile, Conoco and Phillips, Arco and BP, Chevron and Texaco. These large companies in turn have bought up many small oil companies across
the U S. With so much competition removed is it any surprise that the price of gas reached $ 4. The price could go higher, except competition from incentives for alternates started to kick in. So keeping the price under $ 3 kills the alternate scene but still maintains record profits. With corporate power growing in the Congress, expect the oil companies to push for legislative restriction on alternatives, and watch the price of gas rocket up beyond the $ 4 boundary.

HEALTHCARE RUN BY BUREAUCRATS
In defense of the bureaucrats, oh no, no, NO! They do not need defending! They deserve compliments.
Look at their record. When the Germans were blowing holes through Europe, we feared they would harness nuclear energy and would wind up owning the world; we assigned the task of attaining the nuclear bomb ahead of them to the bureaucrats who very successfully did exactly that. It did bring the Japanese war to a fast end.
The Soviets launched their sputnik into space in 1957. Our private enterprise sputtered away while the Soviets made considerable advances in their space endeavor, leaving us further behind. As late as 1962 we made the decision to put a man on the moon within a decade. Was that ambitious or crazy? Then guess what we did. Did we really let the bureaucrats run the project? Ahead of schedule they put two men on the moon.
President George Bush used private enterprise in a big way to fight his wars, using mercenaries, military construction of various kinds, logistics for delivery of all kinds of military needs, and we have been badly bogged down, with no end in sight. Now if we had used the bureaucrats like we did during World War 2, they simultaneously conquered the German and Japanese war machines that most nations in the world were not able to contain.
The bureaucrats have very successfully run Medicare, Social security and the Post office. They monitor and regulate the many essentials for us Americans. Our food supply does not poison us. Our drugs are safe. They monitor the volume at the gas pump and verify the quality of gas that goes in our cars. The many services that private enterprise offers us are licensed after testing looking out for our welfare.
The saying is: private enterprise is efficient. Efficient? How many banks have gone under? Wall Street financial companies are in a mess. Real Estate companies, Auto companies and how many other businesses are going bankrupt? Money is power and they used this power to destroy themselves. They paid congress to take those regulating bureaucrats off their back, and they would police themselves, ha, ha. The Auto companies ‘built in obsolescence’ and in so doing became obsolescent themselves. The foreign auto companies tore into their once ever so loyal market share.
There are good corporations and bad ones, and by bad it includes questionable honesty. We learn about the bad ones that are large ones. How many small ones are hidden underwater like the mass of an iceberg? Naming just a few corporation that made the news Enron, Quest, Tyco, Adelphia, Global Crossing, World Com, Arthur Anderson, Harken and the reader probably knows many more of them.
Now ‘they’ want the Health Insurance companies to continue running our health system. Their inefficiency is outstanding. The horrendous condition is foremost in the minds of the American people, Congress and Corporations. 30% of health care cost goes to insurance that enriches the officers with massive pay and bonuses. Money spent on advertising and their administration does nothing to enhance our health. Use of insurance companies will continue to increase the cost exponentially. As a third party they offer no price resistance and in addition their incentive is to allow prices to rise. Price increases result in higher premiums. Even if the percentage profit remains the same, the gross profit increases. Now they have reached a stage where they advertise “you cannot afford not to be covered”.
Who are “they”? They are the insurance companies. They consist of Congress people who have received contributions, a pittance for the insurance companies, who will make considerably more from us in the future. They are the TV stations that make much money from running insurance company ads. They are people like you and me who believe what ever we hear on TV.
You and I are supposed to control Congress. We need to understand who are running these expensive ads, and what do they expect to gain from it. As is typical of the many not so honest corporations your and my welfare is not what they will spend money on.
Please circulate as widely as you can.

Yesterday, immediately following NBC's Meet the Press, the right-wing group Conservatives for Patients' Rights (CPR) aired a 30-minute paid advertisement titled "The End of Patients' Rights: The Human Consequences of Government Run Health Care." Hosted by former CNN reporter Gene Randall, the program featured "horror stories" aimed at chipping away public support for reforming the U.S. health care system. As Fox News explained, "the new infomercial, despite the 'paid programming' label in the upper-left hand corner of the screen, had the appearance of a '60 Minutes' special" -- without the credibility, of course. The disgraced former CEO of Columbia/HCA Healthcare and now chairman of CPR, Rick Scott, appeared multiple times in the program warning that health care reform would result in the rationing of care, long waiting lists, and diminished quality. CPR's ad was premised on the false notion that "certain nefarious
Democrats want to import British and Canadian health care into the United States." But as Wonk Room health care blogger Igor Volsky has noted, "CPR conflates deficiencies of the foreign health care systems with American reform efforts, but fails to cite a single Democrat who would want to copy- and-paste the British or Canadian examples." CPR's infomercial "presents the Democrats' reforms not as they are, but as conservatives wish for them to be," and as such, spends time warning Americans about the so-called "horror stories" of foreign health care system on which they will never have to rely.
A HISTORY OF FRAUD: If CPR wants to appear credible, it is indeed strange that Scott is such a prominent feature of its campaign against health care reform. As Progressive Media documented in a video report on Scott's history (view the short video here), Scott is "credited with transforming the American health care system into the profit above-all-else culture that is currently plaguing America." In his zealous attempt to turn his former company Columbia/HCA into the "McDonald's" of the health care industry, Scott's company "increased Medicare billings by exaggerating the seriousness of the illnesses they were treating," "granted doctors partnerships in company hospitals as a kickback for the doctors referring patients to HCA," and "gave doctors 'loans' that were never expected to be paid back, free rent, free office furniture, and free drugs from hospital pharmacies." The government pursued Scott's company in a
seven-year fraud investigation that resulted in Columbia/HCA being fined $1.7 billion. While the fraud was illegal, the real horror stories came out of the abusive and negligent ways in which Columbia/HCA hospitals treated patients. ABC News reported in 1993 that nursing staffs were reduced in size to save costs, but resulted in newborns being "attended as infrequently as every three hours. Once, the only nurse caring for seven ill infants was so busy she failed to hear an alarm when a baby stopped breathing." In a hospital run by Columbia/HCA in California, employees protested "filthy conditions," while hospital staffers in Florida complained that "gloves come in only one size, and rip easily." Despite this, CPR's documentary touted Scott's background as CEO of Columbia/HCA saying, "under his leadership.. .Columbia had the lowest cost per patient of any category of hospital." Scott's tenure as head of Columbia/HCA is a prime example of what Americans
can expect from their health care system in the future of so-called "free market" health care advocates win out.
SWIFTBOATING HEALTH CARE REFORM: To coordinate its attack on health care reform, CPR hired CRC Public Relations, the group "that masterminded the 'Swift Boat' attacks against 2004 Democratic presidential candidate John F. Kerry." CRC is reportedly using as a model the "'Harry and Louise' ads that helped torpedo health-care reform during the Clinton administration. " As in the Swift Boat campaign, CPR's anti-reform campaign is well-financed and is misleading the public. Indeed, in March and April, the group spent $1.2 million on ads, with another $1 million spent in May alone. In all, the group has been seeded with millions from Scott's personal fortune. As for the group's apparent distaste for honest debate, their campaign is rife with warnings that health care reformers are determined to emulate the health care systems of Great Britain and Canada for use in the U.S. But as Volsky notes, "Most policy makers are looking
for a 'uniquely American solution' that preserves the employer-sponsored system and creates a hybrid public-private partnership. " The system would leave the "provision of health care...in private hands" and create a marketplace within which public and private insurers can compete on price while insuring the sickest patients. Fundamentally, however, CPR's fear mongering about single- payer health care systems is dishonest. As Jonathan Cohn explains in his book Sick, "The stories about Canada are wildly exaggerated. And the pinched access to services in Britain, at least, isn't a product of universal health care. It's a product of universal health care on the cheap." "The British spend just 7 percent of their national wealth on health care, less than half of what Americans spend. It's possible to spend more than that--and get more--while still spending less than the United States does. A perfect example is Japan. Relative to the United States, Japan
spends about 60 percent as much of its wealth on health care. But the Japanese don't wait for medical services. ... Japan leads the world in the availability of technology such as CT scanners and MRI machines," Cohn writes. As Washington Post blogger Ezra Klein notes, despite there being wait times for non-essential care in Britain, the outcomes for care do not appear to be worse.
EMBRACED BY THE RIGHT WING: Klein recently remarked that Scott's high- profile defense of the health care status quo was akin to former President Bush "tasking Donald Rumsfeld with a comprehensive defense of his administration' s legacy." Indeed, despite Scott's well-known history as a health care fraudster, the right wing appears to be wholeheartedly embracing him, his organization, and his message. In recent weeks, Scott has been hosted at an "influential weekly breakfast organized by anti-tax activist Grover Norquist."The right- wing National Review promoted CPR's ad campaign and interviewed Scott at length without ever noting his background. Fox News hosted Scott multiple times in recent months before they disclosed his controversial past. Rep. Michael Burgess (R-TX) "invited Mr. Scott to meet with him on Tuesday because he liked what Mr. Scott had been saying." It's clear
why the right has embraced Scott. While he's yet to use such language in his current attempt to scuttle reform, in 1993 he vowed to do "everything I can" to defeat Clinton's health care proposal. But while conservatives are getting on board with Scott, the Washington Post explains that, "for the moment," his campaign is relatively independent of "major insurers, hospitals and other health- care providers" because such stake holders have hopes of working with President Obama and the Congress to constructively "shap[e] the outcome of a final reform package." Indeed, a senior executive with the insurance industry organization that ran the "Harry and Louise" ads which helped stop former President Clinton's attempts at health care reform told the New York Times, "I just don't understand why he would be a messenger people would listen to. I don't think people are waiting to hear from him."

I cannot blame inflation, I am just no longer able to do it all, at my age. I realize some will be bummed, sorry.
The smaller orders will be more costly. If my regular, repeat buyers will order less often and buy more per order, little will change for them. Besides, why give the Post Office all the shipping charges, anyway?

YES WE CAN
YOU CAN SAVE THE ECONOMY
We can with a massive collective effort save the economy. President Obama’s stimulus plan is being thwarted by Republican Congressmen with their spin against it. Unfortunately they are gaining public opinion. I give below a simple explanation of why his plan will work. Please circulate extensively and ask the recipient to contact their Congressman and demand support for President Obama initiative.
The Republican mantra: To stimulate the economy, tax cut allows you to spend the money, is music to the ear and brings them many votes. The fallacy: All that revenue that the Government gives up the Government cannot spend. That money could have been spent 100 % and immediately, causing money to circulate. Big and small business could have made money and would have needed employees to fulfill their contracts. It would have reduced or eliminated layoffs. The expanding number of employees would have caused money to swell in the hands of the consumers, creating an increased demand for goods and services that businesses would have reached for. They would have expanded their operations, hiring more employees and so the economy would have spiraled upward. Instead the Bush tax cuts have caused a retraction of the economy.
What is happening to the money the people are supposed to spend? Most of it goes to the few that are very rich whose excess wealth already fulfills their needs. A large portion of the tax cut is locked out of circulation. From the smaller portion a large slice goes to the upper middle class. They may spend only a part of it and certainly are in no hurry to do so. Their contribution to stimulating the economy is a far, far weaker effect than the Government would have effected with that money. Only a small portion of the tax cut in the hands of the needy is put into circulation fully and immediately.
The tax cuts that business gets may seem to help the bottom line, but is a poor compensation for the considerable reduction of profits due to the weakened economy. Another Republican mantra: Give taxpayer money to businesses and they will hire more employees. What is their incentive to do so? The consumer’s capacity and desire to spend is considerably diminished. Factories are cutting back on production, stores are discounting to the few customers that enter. If money is in the hands of the consumers business will need no additional incentives. They will expand their operations to reach out for that money.
Many in Congress are concerned about borrowing the large sums of money for the stimulus. Those that borrow for an education have done well and the nation has gained from it. The entrepreneur or businessman with a good idea borrows money does well and so does the nation. The homebuyer borrows money and enjoys the comfort of living in his or her castle. At the same time puts may people to work. Demand is created for earth moving, for concrete, wood, piping, wiring, fixtures, drapes, carpets, appliances, furniture, decorations etc. Homeowners are considered good credit risk, and banks are eager to loan them money and thereby the money circulates briskly.
We spend money it is good for the economy. When the Government spends money a strange effect comes into play. Using bases of $100, when the Government spends that money, the beneficiary A owes taxes to the Government. For easy discussion let’s say an average of 20%. The cost to the Government is immediately reduced to $80. When A spends that money then recipient B owes $20 to the Government, further reducing the Government’s investment. As this money circulates to C, D, E and F the Government makes a profit! Of course it depends on how the money circulates. It will fall out of circulation in the hands of the rich, while the poorer people will spend it fast.
Where should this money be spent? We have many aggravated problems begging for monetary attention. The money needs to be spent domestically. My personal choice: invest heavily in solving the energy problem. It will generate many jobs. Each step of progress will cut the flow of money leaving our country. It will reduce demand and lower the price of oil and gas. Technology gained can be sold and generate much needed income for the nation.
The most distributed DVD from the project site is still the combo containing FREEDOM TO FASCISM, KEEP BEAR ARMS and parts II III of ZEITGEIST. It may be the best DVD to wake friends and neighbors to the Federal Reserve issue and how international bankers seem to rule from the shadows. Of course the $700,000,000,000 bailout is proof of that.
9/11 MISSING LINKS is making its move to the top of the charts. Folks are buying them a hundred at a time. It quickly details the Israeli connection to 9/11 and names names of those Zionists who were and are in key places. This has to be the best kept secret since 9/11/01.
INJECTING PANDEMIC also is moving in large quantities, thanks to the Idaho Observer. Don and Ingri were kind enough to publish a press release of sorts about my project. We have hit the big time. haha
The CORRUPT FOREIGN POLICY combo will bring anyone up to speed on what havak our leaders have created around the world. It is shameful.
9/11 MYSTERIES is combined with TERROR STORM, and this combo is perfect if you want to start with 9/11 when sharing with friends and neighbors.
My personal favorite is AMERICANISM 101. It not only explains how and why we were given a Republic (and not a democracy) but, it reminds us that it has always been the peoples responsibility to maintain it. Included on this DVD are some youtube clips that demonstrate just how poorly we have done in that respect. You will notice that some of these videos can be viewed right from the order page.
Youtube clips are perfect for a quick introduction to certain issues. DVDs like BEST OF PUPPET GOV, IMPEACH THE TERROISTS, ECONOMIC COLLAPSE and BEST OF NAOMI WOLF are excellent examples of that. Each contain lots of clips from various directions yet, focused on the theme of the particular DVD. I think I will be doing more of these youtube clips montages.
Please, make a habit of distributing a few dozen DVDs every so often. The price is right and we can educate those folks who do not have access to the internet or otherwise do not see what we see.
Of course, all methods of payment are available but, allow me to encourage you to buy with silver if you are able. I will give you $20 credit for a silver dollar or an ounce. E-mail me for more details.
I must say I am a little concerned that those who voted for Obama, just because he is black, may react in an L.A. riot fashion when B.O. is disqualified over the origin of birth issue. The rest of us might want to recall the Korean on the roof of his L.A. store. He was prepared as you may recall.
You win, I voted for Barrack. Most of the reasons for leaning toward McCain withered away …..
I thank you. The rest of my family all voted for Barrack. On their behalf I thank you. Multiplying this appreciation considerably, I thank you on behalf of all those that voted for him.
In a similar manner I thank every one of you that did vote for him.
To those that did not vote for him I thank you for participating in the democratic process, to be the competitive force that drives the incentive to a Democrat President and Democrat Congress to perform for the benefit of all us Americans.
Any incoming President inherits ever so many deep-rooted problems. Of course we want CHANGE and a whole of it! We could not help but buy the HOPE that Obama sold us. My hope is sustained by many positive reasons. It would take an extremely clever person to reverse each detrimental path we are currently headed down. Here is a man who has propelled himself from nobody to President (elect) in such a short duration. A look at his educational past conforms to this possibility. Politicians either succumb or lean heavily to the demands of the private interest that monetarily supports them. Most of Obama’s money came from you and me and the millions who voted for him. HOPEfully he will serve the people. Yet each of our offerings was small change, so HOPEfully he is influenced by the higher purpose of doing the right thing.
We may have picked the right quarterback, but he does have a political minefield to run his plays through. Obama has preached unity. During his campaign he was careful not to demonize either the other side or the other contenders. He did not even refer to them as “that one”. He will have to cleverly negotiate and push his programs through inevitable resistance. He has promised to keep us informed and advised us that it will be up to us to help him. I assume he means when seeking legislation for the benefit of the people but restricted politically we will have to perform en mass contacting our congresspersons. We get to govern beyond the isolated Election Day.
Here is where my HOPE gets stretched but I firmly hang on to. How is he going to perform these miracles with out a handy pot of money?
Post election he has proclaimed the economy as his first priority. We do not know exactly what he will do. Here again I have much HOPE. See attachment: ECONOMY.
Democrats have a history of excelling on the economy. I believe the reason is the Republicans find ways of giving the money to the rich claiming it will trickle down to the middleclass. It does not happen. The Democrats get the money to the masses. In order to reach out for this wealth businesses expand selling goods and services to them. In the process they hire more people increasing the consumer wealth. The spiral continues beneficially. Obama refers to it as the ‘bottom up economy’. See attachment: BUBBLE UP VS TRICKLE DONE. All along Uncle Sam will smile. Each transaction that enriches the middleclass and business Uncle Sam gets a cut. Much needed money will fill the pot.
Obama claimed his second and immediate priority will be the energy problem. Here again my HOPE is high. Even as we make progress, it will reduce import of oil and therefore reduce flow of money out of the country. Evidently he sees this problem as a national emergency. When Kennedy interpreted our position behind the Soviets in the space race as a national emergency he set the targets and spent billions. We achieved our target and raced past the Soviets. The incidental benefit to the economy was astronomical. (Pun intended). Far superior to a stimulus program of onetime checks in the hands of the consumers, that the recipient may or may NOT spend, the space program due to creation of jobs meant repeated checks in the hands of the consumer. The economy broke all records. If Obama does likewise in the pursuit of the energy cure, the economy will bloom and government revenue
will escalate accordingly. See attachment: ENERGYSOLUTIONS
Obama has promised to end the Iraq war. As reduction proceeds the monetary strain it has caused will ease.
With a filled pot other promises should be easier to fulfill.
HOPE! We are filled with it. Obama we have faith in you.
You win, I voted for Barrack. Most of the reasons for leaning toward McCain withered away …..

Maybe I should feel sorry for this restaurant owner who makes $800 a day or $290,000 a year. He will pay an extra 2% on the $40,000 above the $250,000 demarcation point an excess tax of $800 for the year. However his many employees, 20 or 40 of them will enjoy the benefit of reduced taxes, as will other employees of the many $800 a day earning employers. These employees now have more money to eat at the restaurant of our consideration. The owner will make considerable more money after the tax cuts go into effect. Seems to be a win win situation.

Consider this. Obama's Joe the Plumber tax will effect all "rich"

Soem will go out of business. Some will avoid the tax by capping sales. Some
will be discouraged to follow their dreams. And the vaccuum will be filled by

With employment decreasing, the consumer has less money. This explains the reduction in my business. Unfortunately I will have to lay off employees and add to the unemployment. My reduced business activity will be quite manageable with a reduced staff.
I am tempted to support the Republican tax cuts for business as they claim we will create jobs. What would I do with more employees? This would mean money in my pocket. We get very upset when the very poor people accept welfare. Lucky for me I can take care of my basic needs. I could not in good conscience accept this corporate welfare. I prefer the Democrat policies that create jobs and put money in the hands of the consumers. I would love to rehire the employees I am about to lay off.
This needs to get out more. Please watch and forward...

Google Inc. Chief Executive Eric Schmidt will hit the campaign trail this week on behalf of Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama, signaling Mr. Schmidt's push for a greater voice in politics while giving the Obama campaign a boost from a highly desirable constituency.

Google Chief Executive Eric Schmidt in Washington earlier this year. He has advised the Obama campaign on technology and energy issues.
Although the Internet-search company has numerous issues pending on Capitol Hill, Mr. Schmidt said in an interview that "I'm doing this personally," adding that "Google is officially neutral" in the campaign.
Mr. Schmidt said his planned endorsement of the Illinois senator is a "natural evolution" from his role as an informal adviser to the Obama campaign.
The Google chief plans to join executives from other technology companies to announce their support for Sen. Obama. Sunday, Sen. Obama received an endorsement from Colin Powell, who was President George W. Bush's first secretary of state.
Congress is considering measures that could have an adverse impact on Google's business, including laws that could limit companies' ability to deliver personally targeted online advertisements and rules that would allow telecommunications companies to charge different prices for different levels of Internet service.
Lawmakers' and regulators' scrutiny of Google, in particular, is intensifying. The company's proposed ad-sharing agreement with Yahoo Inc. triggered a Justice Department probe into whether the deal would give Google too much control over the market and lead to higher prices for online advertisers.
"My sense is, the Justice Department makes judgments on these issues independent of politics," Mr. Schmidt said. "It would be unfair to Justice to imply [that supporting Sen. Obama] would make a difference."
Mr. Schmidt is the latest tech leader to take a more formal role in this year's presidential race. Several such executives advise Republican Sen. John McCain, including former eBay Inc. Chief Executive Meg Whitman, Cisco Systems Inc. Chairman and CEO John Chambers and ousted Hewlett-Packard Co. CEO Carly Fiorina.
Mr. Obama's stances on some issues important to Google remain unclear. Both the candidate and the company, however, have said they support limiting Internet service providers from charging different rates for different levels of service, saying it would be discriminatory and stifle innovation.
Sen. Obama supported such so-called net neutrality before any association with Google in this campaign, co-sponsoring legislation on the issue four years ago. Sen. McCain has said he would rather leave the issue to the market.
Google employees have contributed $487,355 to Sen. Obama's campaign and $20,600 to Sen. McCain's as of Aug. 31. Mr. Schmidt hasn't donated to either.
Google co-founders Larry Page and Sergey Brin have leaned liberal in their politics. Mr. Brin recently wrote a post on Google's corporate blog stating the company's opposition to a ballot initiative seeking to eliminate same-sex marriage in California.
Mr. Schmidt's political views have been mixed. He has recently donated more money to Democrats than to Republicans, but spoke at Britain's Conservative Party conference in 2006.
His advice to the Obama campaign has focused on technology and energy issues. He hosted Sens. Obama and McCain for speeches to employees at Google's Mountain View, Calif., headquarters, and Google has funded tech hubs for bloggers at the Democratic and Republican conventions.
On Tuesday, the Google CEO will appear with Sen. Obama at a Florida event, where they will moderate a panel on the economy. Mr. Schmidt said it will be his "first time on the trail."
In conversations with Obama campaign advisers, Mr. Schmidt said, he has advocated policies to improve and broaden technology's reach, including federal research-and- development tax breaks and an increase in science scholarships and teachers.
Mr. Schmidt has been in frequent email contact with Jason Furman, Sen. Obama's economic-policy director, to push for the creation of more jobs in the clean-energy sector. Last summer, Sen. Obama unveiled an energy plan that quoted Mr. Schmidt and proposed five million such jobs, among other measures.
Mr. Schmidt visited Obama's Chicago headquarters earlier this year and met with its tech and new-media team. "Eric was like a celebrity coming through here," said Joe Rospars, Sen. Obama's 27-year-old new-media director.
Asked at a speech this month whether he would consider entering the political arena, the 53-year-old Mr. Schmidt shouted, "H-, no!" But some tech and media executives speculate that he might desire a role in an Obama administration, possibly the chief technology officer post Sen. Obama has said he would create.
"I'm actually very busy running Google," Mr. Schmidt said in the interview.

Subject:Type in Explain Tax Wealth Distribution ASAP
McCain is gaining ground on this slogan - Obama wants to distribute the wealth around.
Obama used a bad play on words when speaking w/Joe, a person in crowd.
All tax codes distribute the wealth, just plain and simple.
The question is, which direction should it go?
The Republicans have spun it so it sounds like Obama is enacting socialism or communism.
Not true, he just wants it fair after 8 years of lop-sided breaks for the wealthy. Now give the little guys a more of break.
This is Build Up economy verses Trickle Down economy.I think most people can get this, especially if drawn on a chart showing how each ones works. This could be very effective.Obalma can think of a cool, catchy slogan afterwards to help it stick.
Obama campaign needs to put an ad out debunking McCains slogan. All tax codes distribute the money, its just which direction is best for America right now.
Today on CNN it was mentioned that the early 80s the tax code distributed the wealth to the wealthy and and look where it got us then.In the turn of millennium we went that way again, look where it got us.Its not socialism, is just making it fairer.
This ad is needed ASAP and put nation-wide.We just pledged over $150 millions last month, lets use it effectively!
This is an impressive photo. If you want, click the email link and send it to Obama supporters. They'd get a smile out of it. And yea, it may end up on the 'Most Viewed' photos, which is good publicity.
