Music Hack Day Boston is now less than a week away!
http://boston.musichackday.org/
It's a hands-on event focused on bringing people together for a
weekend of making things with music and technology -- software,
electronics, art, etc. We're expecting 300 people and over 25 music
technology companies, including The Echo Nest, Last.fm, The Hype
Machine, Harmonix, SoundCloud, Amie Street, Indaba Music, Tourfilter,
MusicBrainz, Tapulous, Boxee, NPR, Yahoo! and many more.
In addition to hacking, Music Hack Day Boston will feature short
workshops on APIs and platforms, panel discussions with leading
industry thinkers, demos of the weekend's projects, and a concert on
Saturday night. Prizes will be awarded for the best hacks, and food,
drinks and Rock Band will be provided. See the site for more details.
Register soon if you intend to come, as space is limited and we will
reach capacity.

Hi all,
I'm organizing an event called Music Hack Day Boston for November
21-22 in Cambridge, MA with the help of Paul Lamere of the Echo Nest
and Dave Haynes of SoundCloud.
http://boston.musichackday.org/
It's a weekend event that will bring together developers, designers,
hackers and artists to build interesting things with music and
technology (software, electronics, art, etc.). In addition to the
hacking and demos, we're also planning a couple panel discussions,
lightning talks and entertainment both at the event and off-site on
Saturday night. The event is free, and prizes will be awarded for the
best hacks.
Registrations are flowing in and nearly twenty companies are already
signed on to participate, including The Echo Nest, SoundCloud, Indaba
Music, Harmonix (makers of Rock Band), Amie Street, 8tracks, Playdar
(a new project from Last.fm cofounder Richard Jones), Tourfilter,
Bandsintown, NPR, Boxee, Sonos, Dorkbot, Aviary, Conduit Labs /
Loudcrowd, Noteflight, Topspin Media and Libre.fm, with more to come.
If you're interested in participating in Music Hack Day, register
soon. Space is limited, so we'll be reviewing the registrations to
make sure we have a good mix of people who are genuinely interested in
contributing. But we'll try to accommodate as many as we can. We're
also opening up the event to a few more people for the talks and demos
on Sunday afternoon.

Feel free to forward this on to anyone you think might be interested.
