yes, I read that and it was a good article - I could not tell what brand bander
he was using.  I normally dehorn at an early age, using an electric dehorner. 
It is just a lot more traumatic as the cow gets older.

It was a Wadsworth XL bander. I disbud very early too, but I would certainly try John's method if I bought anything in that had horns..marion...
