I sold Breanna, 37", a daughter of Noelly and Annie, a Dexter/Shorthorn cow.
They also bought Brian, 36", a son of Brenn and Annie.
They bred Brian to Breanna and got Buckwheat.
Brian is a dwarf, Buckwheat must have inherited that.
I think that the Shorthorn must have had a dwarfing gene, and Buckwheat
inherited that, too.
These two forms of dwarfism collided to make a bull calf so small it's
unbelievable. Buckwheat was born last November. He should have been nearly 35"
tall at 8 months, but he's less than 24". He lives with a herd of pigmy goats
and is smaller than any of the adults.
Would he count? He's 3/4 Dexter.
