General Meeting of the GCPCUG: Saturday, April 14, 2007 at 9:30 a.m.
Topic: Capturing, Preserving, and Sharing Digital Photographs.
Speakers will be Charles Burkett, Digital Photo SIG Leader and Richard
J. Santich of MotoPhoto and Portrait Studio at Van Aken Center in
Shaker Heights. Rick is a native of Northeast Ohio and has
photographed landscapes and other subjects for over thirty years. For

Digital Photo SIG Monthly Meeting: Thursday, April 19, 2007 at 6:00
p.m. at the Cleveland Superstore of CORD CAMERA. PLEASE NOTE THE TIME
CHANGE AND LOCATION CHANGE. The staff of Cord Camera will do a
presentation on trends in digital photography as well as what to look
for in buying a digital camera.
Don't forget the photo exhibit and gallery talk On Wednesday, April
4th.: A Song for Unsung Heroes: African American Soldiers in the Civil
War, an exhibition of the work of photographer William Earle Williams.
Williams will be in Akron to lecture on his work as part of the
Bidwell Visiting Artist Lecture series on Wednesday, April 4 at 6 pm
in the auditorium of Folk Hall (150 E. Exchange St., Akron). An
opening reception for the exhibition will follow, from 7:30-9 pm.
All events are free and open to the public. The exhibition runs April
2 -25 in the Emily Davis Gallery of the Mary Schiller Myers School of
