1. No SIG Meeting this Month

Due to schedule conflicts, there will not be a September meeting of
the Digital Photography Special Interest Group. Meetings will resume
in October.

2. Charles Burkett to Speak at Chagrin Valley Camera Club on 9/9/08

The Chagrin Valley Camera Club has invited me to speak to their group
about Flickr, the Online Photosharing Site. I'll be talking about how to use
Flickr as well as why photographers would want to join this site.

3. Cleveland Photographic Society Courses Begin This week.

I've written in the past about the courses offered by the Cleveland
Photographic Society. I took the introduction to Digital Editing
Course outlined below and found it immensely helpful. I now teach
Photoshop Elements for Ideastream. The CPS course I took allowed
Photoshop Elements to make sense for the first time. I had owned the
program for two years prior to taking the course and had not scraped
the surface of what it can do on my own.
